From the Heartland to the boardwalk stand, Brent Kohr has a background full of interesting experiences to say the least. The Heartland is the University of Kansas, where Brent attended on a football scholarship. The boardwalk stand is 1,000 miles or so east at the Jersey shore where he worked at his family’s legendary Kohr Bros Frozen Custard establishment, and later became involved in renovating existing stores and building a new restaurant. Along the way, his passion for football and frozen custard was surpassed by his love of real estate and helping people reach their goals, whether buying or selling.
Brent received his real estate license in 1992 and practiced in Pennsylvania before moving to Virginia and continuing in 2010. There he helped start up a new office and became an award-winning agent. Brent joined the Reston office of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in 2019 and couldn’t be more excited to be affiliated with a brand that is one of the most well-known and trusted names in real estate around the globe.
In one of his prior experiences, working for a new construction builder, Brent oversaw all aspects of the process, including meeting with homeowners. This has served him well with clients, understanding their questions and concerns and sharing in their excitement. Brent is expert at market analysis, with the average days on the market for listings sold being far below average. He fully takes advantage of Coldwell Banker® marketing tools to help sellers create a comprehensive marketing plan that hits the targeted demographic. Properties are marketed on as many as 700 websites. Professional, printed postcards and flyers announcing sales and open houses further maximize the word to interested buyers. For buyers, Brent uses Coldwell Banker’s cutting-edge technologies to analyze market trends and his strong negotiating skills are always appreciated.
Brent’s experiences have imbued him with many fine traits including honesty, compassion and strong desire to help, especially first-time home buyers as they start their life’s stories. Brent is always available for clients and knows the value of hard work because he’s worked hard his entire life.
When not working, Brent enjoys time with his family, swimming with his Golden Retrievers and exploring Virginia’s rich history. He is proud of his Scottish heritage and being the son of a World War II hero from The Greatest Generation.
